Day two of the Austin City Limits Music Festival was very short for me given that I arrived pretty late in the day. The first set that I saw was Glass Animals. This was their last show in the US for a long time. Their set was as expected, a lot of great vibes with great people. Playing hits such as Youth, Gooey and Black Mambo.
The second set for the day was Tove Lo. She was one of the reasons I even decided to attend ACL Fest this year. Let's be honest the lineup wasn't monumental. Her set was filled with fans singing every single word to every single song. She really connects with her fans when she sings. Singing songs from her latest album 'Lady Wood', she opened her set with 'True Disaster' and ended with her biggest hit 'Habbits'
We ended the day with two of the headlining acts this year. Unfortunately, because their sets were at the same time, I wasn't able to see both complete sets. Chance the Rapper and Red Hot Chili Peppers gave a great close to day 2 of ACL. If I were to guess, there was about a combined total of 100,000 people at these sets. Chance played hits such as Angels and Mixtape. Red Hot Chili Peppers didn't disappoint playing songs from their latest album as well as their greatest hits. I gotta say my favorite song they performed last night has to be 'Dark Necessities.
Stay tuned for our closing recap of Day 3.
