As we reach a close to Austin City Limits, day 3 of the festival was one to remember. The first set I got there specifically early for was BROODS. They were a Weekend 2 exclusive, so it was imperative that I see them. They put on a great show & talked to their fans. They played hits such from their new album 'Conscious' such as 'Recovery', 'Free' and 'Couldn't Believe'.
The second set of the day for me was Louis The Child. It was surprisingly filled with people. They played hits such as 'It's Strange' and 'Fire'.
And now the moment you've been waiting for. The final set of the 2017 Austin City Limits was Gorillaz. That show was a "religious experience" according to a concert goer. I must say, this was probably one of the greatest shows that I have ever seen. I know I will never forget that moment. They performed hits such as 'Feel Good Inc.', 'Saturn Barz', my personal favorite 'On Melancholy Hill' & so many more. It's impossible to explain how good the show truly was. What really made the show great was everyone coming together, united and not giving a care in the world. We were there to enjoy a show and let loose, that's exactly what Gorillaz provided. If you ever get a chance to see them (given that they rarely tour), I highly suggest you see them.
See you next year for the 2018 Austin City Limits Music Festival October 5-7 and 12-14.
