Billie Eilish: The voice of tomorrow's generation

This year has been a monumental one for 17 year old superstar Billie Eilish. With her fast rise to stardom, Eilish is now headlining music festivals across the globe. This time last year her Instagram account had a following of just 257K followers, since then she has gained almost 8 million followers. With her popularity rising, Billie has released 4 singles this year along side her debut album "dont smile at me" released last year.

Since her debut on Apple's "Up Next" series, Eilish's success has reached unprecedented amounts of success. In her interview's with Vanity Fair, Eilish was asked the same questions both a year apart. The answers would shock you. In the beginning of the 2017 interview, you can really see her innocence being projected. Whilst in the 2018 interview, she is projecting a more unbothered persona. Thinking of herself as a sad person, really hits home to most of the music industry. Stating that every single artist she's met, is sad. Not to say that that is a bad thing, because the music has to come from somewhere right? Feeling pressure from people is something that she is now currently experiencing. The difference from a year ago and now is that people expect her to sing and act a certain way.

"Its the kind of pressure that like it hits me, and then I don't care"

Billie Eilish announces a headlining tour

As she turns into adulthood, Billie is only now realizing her self worth. She speaks on being mistreated throughout her life and how is over coming it to this day. The future is bright for Billie Eilish. If she keeps growing as much as I believe she is, she could really be the voice for tomorrow's generation.
