If you've been living under a rock and don't know who Sam Smith is, here is your crash course. Samuel Frederick Smith is an English singer-songwriter that rose to ultimate fame with the release of his debut album 'In the Lonely Hour'. Featuring the anthem of 2014 'Stay With Me' written by Smith, James Napier, and William Phillips. Three years later, Sam shocked anyone and everyone with the heartbreak anthem that is 'Too Good at Goodbyes'. The track interpret is as you will, speaks on the repetition of relationship heartbreaks. In his exclusive interview with iHeartRadio he expressed how the song came to be. Throughout the writing process of his second record 'The Thrill of It All', he had to go back to the dark place that gave him the inspiration to write such hits. Traveling back to his hometown, he spent a while at home with his friends against that normal life perspective. Thogough Sam Smith has been openly gay throughout his whole life, to the public he was obligated to 'come out' again in 2014 following the release of 'In the Lonely Hour'. In the end he was not the one that ended the relationship, but he was prepared for the heartbreak that followed.
